Ravenshill House is run by a qualified chef, and is rightfully famous for the quality of its home cooked food with many people returning regularly to sample our menus.
Our comfortable dining room and conservatory are also ideal for small wedding breakfasts, private dinner parties, and meetings. From the conservatory there is disabled access to the ground floor of the hotel and direct access to the lawns which are bordered by mature trees.
Our dining room can seat up to 48 people comfortably, with the conservatory extension seating 25 on its own.
There is a daily menu available with a selection of dishes varying from simple choices such as home made steak pie, an omelette or liver and bacon to venison, game and seasonal specials in addition to the a la carte menu and you can enjoy either in the dining room or as a bar meal.
You’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome in our lounge bar, with its real log fire. We keep a fine range of wines, beers and spirits in stock, including a wide range of whiskeys to please the most discerning connoisseur!
Our a la carte menu is served every day except Fridays, when we serve a Carvery Dinner. And on Sunday when we serve a traditional lunch with local joints, fresh fish and a selection of other dishes including a vegetarian option on request.
We offer individually tailored menus for groups for birthdays, anniversaries etc. We also cater for funeral buffets, afternoon teas or high teas.
With the exception of scampi and ice cream ,all our meals are prepared in our kitchen and cooked to order using fresh local produce. Our suppliers inform us that all produce is free of GM ingredients. Some dishes may contain ingredients with certain food allergies; if in doubt, please ask. Norman, our chef, can advise on which meals are suitable for those who require gluten free choices etc.
